Turkey and 7 Arab countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE, welcomed the results of the interim executive authority elections in Libya, while no positions have yet been issued by Western countries regarding these elections.

Qatar considered that the election of representatives of the temporary executive authority in Libya represents a milestone in the path, struggle and sacrifices of the brotherly Libyan people for the sake of stability and prosperity.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for all Libyan parties to adhere to the deadline for the elections and to work towards achieving comprehensive reconciliation.

The Ministry commended the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, and expressed the wishes of the State of Qatar that the election of the interim executive authority would pave the way towards a comprehensive political solution that preserves the unity of the Libyan territories, respects the rights of the brotherly Libyan people, and establishes a state of law and civil institutions.

In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, welcomed the results of the vote to form the authority, expressing its aspiration to achieve security and stability in Libya.

She expressed her hope that this achievement would preserve the unity and sovereignty of Libya.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry also welcomed the formation of the interim Libyan executive authority.

She expressed her hope that this achievement would fulfill the aspirations of the Libyan people for security and stability.

For its part, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, that its country welcomes the results of the forum's vote, calling on Libyans to continue to advance the supreme interest of their country.

She expressed her aspiration to work with the Libyan Interim Authority in the coming period, until the handover of power to the elected government after the elections (legislative and presidential) scheduled for December 24th.

The UAE Foreign Ministry also welcomed the formation of the new Libyan executive authority, confirming in a statement its full cooperation with the new authority.

In Manama, the Bahraini Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement the importance of this step (formation of the authority) in establishing security and stability in Libya and achieving the aspirations of its people.

And it called on all components of Libyan society to follow the path of peace and give priority to the national good.

In Jordan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed, in a statement, the formation of the Libyan Executive Authority, describing the matter as a positive step.

She wished success for the Provisional Authority in managing the transitional period until elections are held and power is handed over to the elected government.

And the Turkish Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement, on Friday, that it welcomed the selection of the winning list, which is tasked with temporarily managing the country's affairs until the elections, expected on December 24, next.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also expressed its hope that a new national unity government would be formed within the framework of the road map set by the Libyan National Dialogue Forum, and that it would start its tasks as soon as possible.

She emphasized that this democratic step taken by the Libyan brothers is an important opportunity to protect Libya's sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and political unity.

The ministry stressed that Turkey trusts that the international community will not allow this time lurking parties to spoil this historic opportunity to find a lasting political solution.

A vote by the members of the Libyan Dialogue Forum, sponsored by the United Nations, in Geneva, on Friday, resulted in Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, headed by the prime minister, and Muhammad Yunus Al-Manfi, headed by the Presidential Council, alongside Musa Al-Koni, and Abdullah Hussein Al-Lafi, two members of the council.

The new executive authority will temporarily manage the country's affairs, until presidential and parliamentary elections are held on December 24, 2021.
