Wolfsburg (dpa / lbn) - Turbine Potsdam started the new football year of the women's Bundesliga unhappy.

At the start of the early 19th match day on Friday evening, the fourth-placed defeated defending champion VfL Wolfsburg 2: 3 (1: 2) and had to return home without points despite two equalizations.

After a cautious start by both teams, the growing champions took the lead 1-0 through new signing Rebecka Blomqvist (23rd).

Goalkeeper Emma Lind had no chance with the placed shot into the far corner.

Turbine was by no means shocked at first and only seven minutes later, Selina Cerci made it 1: 1 (30th).

But the joy of equalizing only lasted a few seconds until Wolfsburg took the lead again through Kathrin Hendrich, who hit out of the crowd (31st).

A few moments before the break, the next setback for the turbines.

The already warned Bahnemann looked after a hard foul on Oberdorf yellow-red (42nd).

Despite being outnumbered, Turbine made a courageous appearance even after the break.

Nina Ehegötz even made it 2-2 (51st) with a remarkable shot from the edge of the penalty area.

And again the Master struck back mercilessly.

When Zsanett Jakabfi scored the winning goal in Wolfsburg, Lind helped out in the Potsdamer Tor (57th).

The decimated turbines lacked the strength to avert defeat.

The substitution of Anna Gerhardt, who made her comeback on the lawn in the last quarter of an hour after her cruciate ligament rupture, was positive to mention.
