205.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of terrorist financing).

"By a court verdict, Begiev was sentenced to 17 years in prison with serving the sentence in a penal colony with a strict regime," the message says.

According to the investigation, Begiev, while abroad, joined the ranks of IS, and after returning to Russia in 2015, he began to look for those who wanted to provide material assistance to the terrorists.

He created a group on a mobile application, in which he invited individuals who agreed to finance IS in Syria and Iraq.

In total, the community included about 30 members.

Investigators carried out searches and detentions in Moscow, the Moscow Region, Dagestan and Kabardino-Balkaria.

In the course of the investigation, 15 accomplices were detained.

Previously, 12 people received sentences of up to 12 years.
