China News Service, February 5th. According to the Greek "China Greek Times" report, at about 1:30 am local time on February 4th, a violent explosion occurred in the northern Greek city of Kastoria and a local hotel was razed to the ground.

  According to reports, when the explosion occurred, a huge explosion sounded through the night sky, which could be heard throughout the city and nearby residential areas. The four-story building of the Tsamis Hotel where the explosion occurred was turned into a pile of debris.

The explosion caused the hotel's glass, various pieces of objects and metal objects to be scattered everywhere, with a range of up to 80 meters.

  According to the report, a fire brigade with 15 firefighters and 5 vehicles rushed to the scene due to the fire caused by the explosion.

For safety reasons, the police blocked the main road leading to Kastoria in the area where the explosion hotel was located and set up a cordon not far from the hotel.

  The Fire Department of Western Macedonia and the Kastoria Police Department announced that the owner of the hotel where the explosion occurred confirmed that the hotel was not open and there was no one in the building at the time of the incident.

  According to reports, this hotel originally had 80 beds and was regarded as an iconic tourist resort in Kastoria.

  Currently, the fire department and police are investigating the cause of the explosion.
