Munich (dpa / lby) - Use youth hostels or hotels as classrooms - that's what two Bavarian associations are proposing in the Corona crisis.
The regional association in the German Youth Hostel Association (DJH) and the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association offered the Free State unused buildings for school lessons on Thursday.
“The infection rate naturally remains a determining factor for political decisions.
At the same time, it is unacceptable that the child's welfare is endangered by contact restrictions and homeschooling, ”said DJH President Klaus Umbach, according to a statement on Thursday.
So far, the ministry has paid insufficient attention to initiatives such as “schools in youth hostels” or “schools in hotels”.
In a jointly signed letter, DJH and the Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association appeal to Minister of Education Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) "to enable school-age children and young people of all grades and types of school to receive a maximum of classroom instruction."

Youth hostels are currently desperately looking for occupancy because they have been orphaned due to Corona.
