Borgloh / Hilter (dpa / lni) - An overturned trailer with slaughterhouse waste brought traffic on the Autobahn 33 Paderborn-Diepholz north to a standstill on Thursday.
At early noon, the truck driver apparently brushed against a low concrete wall at a construction site in the southern district of Osnabrück.
The tank was damaged and diesel leaked.
In addition, the trailer with the slaughterhouse waste overturned and the load was distributed on the roadway.
The driver was unharmed, said a police spokesman.
Because of the clearing and salvage work, the route between Hilter and Borgloh / Kloster Oesede had to be closed, traffic from Bielefeld in the direction of Diepholz was diverted.
