In the details, the Yemeni army forces and the tribes managed to thwart the largest attack by the Houthi militia, towards the Jabal Murad district, south of the Ma'rib governorate, and inflicted heavy losses on them, according to field sources, noting that the southern and northwestern front of the governorate witnessed violent confrontations between the two sides, in which an attempt was crushed by the elements Al-Houthi in the fighting fronts near Jabal Murad, adjacent to the Rahba district.

The sources confirmed the death and injury of a number of Houthis in the Haid Al Ahmed front between the districts of Rahba and Jabal Murad, while others were captured, including a prominent field leader.

In the city of Ma'rib, local sources confirmed the arrival of prominent tribal leaders to the city of Ma'rib, to coordinate with the Yemeni army in the face of the Houthi militia on the fronts of the Sana'a Ring, noting that 30 sheikhs and elders of the Sana'a cordon tribes held a meeting with the Yemeni army chief of staff and the commander of joint operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz.

In addition, the leadership of the National Resistance Forces in the West Coast announced the shooting down of a terrorist cell belonging to the Houthi militia, specialized in planting mines and explosive devices in the liberated areas of the West Coast.

The spokesman for the National Resistance and a member of the Joint Forces Command, Brigadier General Sadiq Dweid, said that the shooting down of the cell came after a qualitative and successful operation, in which the cell’s operatives decided to carry out 20 terrorist bombings, targeting civilians and civilian objects and the joint forces in the districts of Mokha and Al-Khawkhah.

The military media of the joint forces stated, in a press release, distributed on Wednesday evening, that an intelligence effort led by the Intelligence Division of the National Resistance culminated in the security services arresting a terrorist cell member, on December 16, 2020, after a house and farm in eastern Mokha was raided.
