Bamberg (dpa) - The basketball players from Syntainics MBC have continued their sporting decline.

The Weißenfelser lost their guest appearance at the Brose Baskets Bamberg on Wednesday with 80:95 (45:50).

After the fourth defeat in a row, the Central Germans still have only four points ahead of the first relegation place.

Devon Hall (24 points) and Christian Sengfelder (18) had the largest share in the Bamberg's success.

Michal Michalak (19) and Aleksandar Marelja (17) scored the most points for the guests.

The Weißenfelser stayed in close contact in the first two quarters, but suffered a slump immediately after the break.

With a 10-0 run from 52:48 (22nd) to 62:48 (24th), the home side made the preliminary decision in this duel.

The Bambergers benefited primarily from their superiority among the boards, where they got ten more with 42 rebounds.
