Berlin (AP) - The German soccer record champions FC Bayern Munich will meet the African Champions League winner Al Ahly SC in the semifinals of the Club World Cup.

The team from Egypt beat Al-Duhail SC from Qatar 1-0 (1-0) on Thursday in Doha.

Hussein Elshahat scored the only goal in the 30th minute of the game.

The semi-finals of Bayern against the team from Cairo will kick off next Monday at 7 p.m.

The Mexican soccer club Tigres UANL had previously won the first quarter-finals.

The team from Monterrey prevailed 2-1 (2-1) against Ulsan Hyundai FC from South Korea and met Palmeiras São Paulo in the semifinals.

The 35-year-old Frenchman André-Pierre Gignac (38th, 45th + 5 / penalty) scored both goals for the Tigres.

Ulsan had taken the lead through captain Kim Keehee (24th).
