Berlin (AP) - The German double winner Alba Berlin has to do without Jayson Granger for several weeks.

The basketball professional from Uruguay suffered a fracture of the left metacarpal bone while winning the catch-up game at the BG Göttingen on Tuesday, as the club announced on Thursday.

The point guard should be operated on Thursday in the accident hospital in Berlin.

Granger only missed one of the 38 games so far this season in the Bundesliga and the Euroleague.

Besides Luke Sikma, he has had the most playing time of all Alba players so far.
