Kuwait suspends commercial activities at night and bans entry to the country for two weeks

The Kuwaiti Cabinet decided, on Wednesday, to suspend the entry of non-citizens for a period of two weeks, starting from February 7, after the increase in cases of Coronavirus in its territory, according to the Kuwait News Agency.

In its decision, the Kuwaiti Cabinet excluded "first-degree relatives of Kuwaitis and their companions from domestic workers."

The Council of Ministers also decided, after an exceptional meeting, to suspend all commercial activities, from eight in the evening to five in the morning of the next day, with the exception of pharmacies, food shopping outlets, health supplies, and supplies, with the exception of delivery service and external requests from this decision.

The council also decided to stop all activities related to celebrations, renting halls, tents, catering equipment, and others, and to ban all gatherings, including those celebrating national holidays, and to call on sports federations to stop sports activity and friendly matches.

It also decided to close the reception halls of restaurants, from eight in the evening until five in the morning of the next day, provided that external orders and delivery would be satisfied.
