Bützow (dpa / mv) - After new corona cases in a care facility in Bützow, the Rostock district health department has started investigations into the cause.
«We have a circular scene there.
Infections keep coming, although quarantines have been ordered, the hygiene concept revised and regular tests carried out, ”said the head of the health department, Kristin von der Oelsnitz, on Thursday.
The events in the nursing home have recently resulted in follow-up infections that are already affecting other facilities outside of the nursing sector in Bützow.
A total of 57 infections have been found there since the beginning of January, 28 among residents and 29 among employees.
Only on Monday were five new infections found in residents and twelve in employees.
"We have to effectively break chains of infection," said von der Oelsnitz.
The health department advises the management of the house, an expert from the Rostock University Medicine has been called in.
