Visiting and condoning grassroots cadres and the masses on the eve of the Spring Festival is an important annual activity of General Secretary Xi Jinping.

I am deeply concerned and affectionate.

On February 3 this year, the general secretary appeared in the Miao village of Qiangui Dadi-Huawu Village, Qianxi County.

The schedule for the 9th consecutive inspection on the eve of the Spring Festival since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China also began.

That day coincided with the beginning of spring, when the spring breath was established and everything was born, who and what did the general secretary worry about? What message did his visit convey?

Entering the village to see the ecology: keeping the two bottom lines of development and ecology

Huawu Village is located on the north bank of the confluence of Wujiang Liuchong River and Sancha River. It is mainly inhabited by the Miao, Yi, and Han ethnic groups, among which the Miao ethnic group accounts for 96.7%. It is the most representative Miao village in Western Qianxi.

Wujiang was the first stop of the general secretary's inspection that day.

"Huawu" means "rock wall" in the Yi language. Villagers had to walk from the cliffs when they went out in the early years. The dangerous terrain lacked protection.

Wujiang River is the mother river of Guizhou, with a total length of 1044 kilometers.

The Liuchong River, a first-level tributary of the Wujiang River, merges into the Wujiang River with another tributary Sancha River in the area of Huawu Village.

On the same day, Tu Zhijiang from the Guizhou Provincial Ecological Environment Monitoring Center introduced the water quality of the Wujiang River to the general secretary.

In order to protect the water environment of the Wujiang River Basin, the local area has completely banned fish culture in cages and fully implemented the "10-year ban on fishing" in the Yangtze River.

Currently, Wujiang water is mainly used for irrigation in Huawu Village.

△The test results show that the permanganate index, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus in the Wujiang water samples are all lower than the Class I water quality standard.

Tu Zhijiang said that this means that the water quality of the Wujiang River is higher than the Class I standard.

Keeping the two bottom lines of development and ecology is a clear requirement from General Secretary Xi Jinping to Guizhou.

When inspecting Guizhou in 2015, the general secretary hoped that Guizhou would maintain the two bottom lines of development and ecology, and take a new path of development that is different from the east and other provinces in the west.

Two years later, when participating in the discussion of the Guizhou Provincial Delegation of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the General Secretary once again emphasized that we must keep the two bottom lines of development and ecology, and create a colorful new future in Guizhou where the people are rich and ecologically beautiful.

Look at the water before entering the village, and send a message to the Wujiang River.

This is another declaration of keeping the bottom line.

Poverty Alleviation Answer Sheet for Huawu Village

On November 23 last year, Guizhou Province announced that the remaining 9 impoverished counties would withdraw from the impoverished counties sequence. So far, the 66 impoverished counties in the province with the most impoverished population in the country have all been listed.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Guizhou has lifted 9.23 million people out of poverty, and more than 1 million people have been reduced in poverty every year, making it the country's largest number of people in poverty reduction.

This time I went to Guizhou to see how to consolidate the results of poverty alleviation, which is one of the important concerns of the General Secretary.

△ In 2014, Huawu Village had 145 households with 661 people in poverty.

At the end of 2019, the number of poor people has been cleared.

On the same day, Xi Jinping walked into Huawu Village to visit the villagers.

Zhao Yuxue, a 38-year-old Miao villager, used to be a registered household in Huawu Village for targeted poverty alleviation.

He and his wife Yang Pengying worked in Putian, Fujian last year, and just returned to their hometown for the New Year last month.

On the afternoon of February 3, when the general secretary visited this family of five, the family was making the local traditional festival food, Huangba.

The general secretary sat in the living room with his family and wrapped a yellow cake by himself, wishing Zhao Yuxue's family a happier and sweeter life in the future.

The relocation of Huawu Village was completed in 2016, and Zhao Yuxue's family moved from the dilapidated Mawozhai to their new house.

Last year, their family income reached more than 60,000 yuan.

According to Zhao Yu's theory, after the new year, after the three children start school, the couple will consider whether to continue to work outside.

On the same day, the general secretary also walked into the poverty alleviation workshop in Huawu Village.

This workshop mainly uses local Miao embroidery and batik techniques to produce ethnic costumes.

Pieces of exquisite handmade Miao embroidery costumes and characteristic small accessories have attracted the attention of the General Secretary.

25-year-old Yang Wenli is the head of this poverty alleviation workshop. She learned embroidery skills from her mother since she was a child.

Yang Wenli told "Current Affairs News Eye" that Miao embroidery is divided into manual embroidery and machine embroidery.

A hand-embroidered "Cooking Comb Miao Dress" will cost tens of thousands of yuan.

Today, nearly 70% of the finished Miao embroidery products in the workshop are sold through live broadcast.

37-year-old Peng Yi is good at batik crafts. She has a master's degree in folk art from Guizhou University for Nationalities.

She said that she especially likes the quiet atmosphere of batik.

△ Peng Yi said that the production of batik dyes takes a lot of time. It takes 5 to 7 days to soak the branches and leaves of Isatis indigotica with lime to make blue indigo mud. Add 52% rice wine and alkali to finally make dyes.

In the poverty alleviation workshop, General Secretary Xi Jinping said to everyone: "To carry forward Miao embroidery, traditional is also fashionable. It is both culture and industry. It can not only promote national culture and traditional culture, but also use industry to alleviate poverty and use industry to revitalize. The village can make a contribution."

Huawu Village is located in the core scenic area of Wujiangyuan Baili Gallery.

In addition to intangible cultural heritage crafts, rural tourism is also a pillar industry of Huawu Village.

At the Village Cultural Square, Xi Jinping had a cordial exchange with people participating in ethnic minority Spring Festival folk activities, and extended New Year blessings to people of all ethnic groups across the country.

Relying on unique resource advantages and diversified industrial development, last year, the per capita disposable income of farmers in Huawu Village reached 11,500 yuan.

Six years ago, the general secretary said during an inspection in Huamao Village, Guizhou: Whether the policies of the Party Central Committee are good or not depends on whether the villagers cry or laugh.

During the inspection, the smiles of the villagers of Huawu Village were like flowers, which was the best answer to the question of Huamao Village.

Bijie, the general secretary's concern

Bijie City, where Huawu Village is located, is located in the hinterland of Wumeng Mountain and the junction of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou.

In February 1935, the Central Red Army's Long March arrived at Jiming Three Provinces Village, Linkou Town, Bijie City, where the famous "Jiming Three Provinces" meeting was held.

△Jiming Three Provinces Scenic Area

Bijie is the place that the General Secretary deeply cares about.

It was once one of the poorest areas in the country. In 1988, a pilot area for poverty alleviation development and ecological construction was established.

On June 18, 2015, Xi Jinping hosted a symposium on poverty alleviation during his investigation in Guizhou.

An important arrangement before the meeting was that relevant comrades attending the meeting came to Bijie to learn about the actual situation of local poverty alleviation and development.

On June 23, 2017, the General Secretary also talked about Bijie at the symposium on poverty alleviation in deeply impoverished areas.

In July 2018, on the 30th anniversary of the construction of the Bijie Pilot Area, General Secretary Xi Jinping made important instructions, praising the Bijie Pilot Area as a vivid example of poverty alleviation in poverty-stricken areas, and asked to ensure that the Bijie Pilot Area wins the battle against poverty on time and strives to ensure that The pilot area will be built into a demonstration area to implement the new development concept.

What to do after getting rid of poverty?

In recent years, on the eve of the Spring Festival, General Secretary Xi Jinping has to go to the grassroots, visit the poor and ask questions, and send New Year blessings to the people of all ethnic groups across the country.

"Current Affairs News Eye" combed and found that the General Secretary 9 visits on the eve of the Spring Festival, 6 of which were to the western region: in 2013 to Gansu, 2014 to Inner Mongolia, 2015 to Shaanxi, 2018 to Sichuan, 2020 to Yunnan, 2021 Went to Guizhou in the year.

Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, four visits on the eve of the Spring Festival have selected minority villages for the first stop: Liangshan Yi Village in 2018, Baoshan Wa Village in 2020, and Bijie Miao Village this time.

The reason why the general secretary is concerned about the western regions and ethnic regions is that these areas are often the poor among the poor and the hardships among the hardships.

Now, after continuous struggle, the hardest "hard bones" have been gnawed down.

What to do after getting rid of poverty?

In his New Year's message in 2021, Xi Jinping said that he must work hard to paint a magnificent picture of rural revitalization and move steadily towards the goal of common prosperity.

One village and one village is a vivid epitome of a country and a nation.

The "butterfly change" of Huawu has a promising future.
