Munich (dpa) - Bavaria considers rigid step-by-step plans for corona requirements, as presented by Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, to be impractical.

“These models are too complicated for everyday life.

They pretend to be able to plan, which is not realistic given the dynamics of the pandemic, "said State Chancellery and Corona coordinator Florian Herrmann (CSU) on Thursday of the German Press Agency in Munich.

In the coming week, the federal and state governments want to discuss how to proceed in the pandemic.

Other federal states, including Bremen, had expressed skepticism about the step-by-step plans and warned against back and forth with the measures.

Herrmann also sees it this way: The motto for proceeding in the pandemic must continue to be: Keep it simple.

Only then can the population continue to understand it. "

He recalled that there was already criticism that the nationwide uniform set of rules was too confusing.

Lower Saxony's step-by-step plan for corona restrictions provides for certain relaxations or requirements for certain municipalities depending on the incidence value, i.e. depending on the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

However, other factors such as the reproduction rate of the virus, i.e. how many people are newly infected by an infected person, are also included.

Switching classes at schools and unrestricted funeral services could therefore take place again if the incidence falls below 100 within a week.

The differentiated database also harbors risks for Herrmann, as it creates confusion.

“Incidence is the most important indicator in pandemic control - and it should remain so.

It shows the dynamics of new infections best, everything else is derived from it, ”he said.
