The United States supported Zelensky's decision on sanctions against three TV channels

"The United States supports efforts to counter the malicious influence of Russia, which Ukraine made yesterday to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with its legislation," the diplomatic mission said on Twitter.

The United States called on other countries "to work together to prevent the use of disinformation as a weapon in an information war against sovereign states."

Earlier, Zelensky announced his decision to impose sanctions on the TV channels 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK.

Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he supports this decision. According to Poroshenko, these channels are "Russia's weapon" in the information war.
