February 03, 2021 An elderly resident in the Portuguese city of Santa Maria da Feira, victim of Covid-19, after his funeral, complete with burial in a sealed coffin, is back alive and well.

The 92-year-old man had been admitted to the local hospital with a diagnosis of a respiratory crisis, but then, right inside the hospital, he contracted the coronavirus.

Shortly afterwards the family received the communication that the elderly man had unfortunately died and that, in compliance with the anti-covid rules, the body would be buried without even the family members being able to see him for the last time.

Twenty days later, however, hospital authorities called family members to report that their loved one was actually still alive.

No miracle, 'simply' an exchange of person: due to a mistake, the 92-year-old's name was associated with another really deceased person.
