No question about it: With Smart TV, streaming content is particularly easy and convenient.

But if you own a “not smart” television, you still don't have to forego watching movies from the US streaming giant.

From a TV stick to a streaming device, there are several ways to watch Netflix on older TVs.

Fire TV Cube: How to Stream Netflix on the High-End Device

Amazon also gives you another option to stream Netflix on your TV: the Fire TV Cube *.

As with the Fire TV Stick, all you need is a basic Amazon account to use the device.

The smart cube can do a lot more than its predecessor: It is an Echo Dot, Fire TV Blaster and Fire TV Stick 4K at the same time.

Thanks to its far-field voice control, the device can be operated hands-free anywhere in the room.

You give a voice command and Alexa searches for suitable video content for you.

The cube also shines when it comes to the quality of the video transmission.

If your television supports these formats, the Cube enables you to watch films and series in 4K, HDR and HDR10 +.

But you can also take the “detour” via streaming devices.

A great way to get Netflix on your TV is the Google Chromecast.

With the Chromecast you can stream your PC to your TV set.

Then access the Netflix app with your device - and click on the "Cast symbol".

Again, this is only useful if your TV set enables the resolution at all.

Netflix without internet

It is even possible to use Netflix without internet.

Netflix has the option of saving films for offline mode on both mobile devices and computers and playing them without the Internet.

To do this, you first have to download the films (you need the Internet for this, of course) - and then connect your laptop or tablet to the television via cable.

You should first check which connections your laptop and television have.

With newer models, a regular HDMI cable could do the job, older laptop models could still have a VGA connection, and old TV sets a Scart connection.

Here it is important to find the right adapter - then nothing stands in the way of offline Netflix enjoyment!
