Berlin (AP) - The Bundesliga game between Hertha BSC and the German soccer champions FC Bayern Munich this Friday will kick off earlier than planned.

As the German Football League announced on Wednesday evening, the game in the Berlin Olympic Stadium starts at 8 p.m. instead of 8.30 p.m.

The relocation will take place in coordination with both clubs and the live broadcasting station DAZN.

The background is the participation of Munich in the Club World Cup in Qatar.

The Champions League winner will be in action there on Monday and Thursday next week.

In order to be able to implement the hygiene concept of the world association FIFA for the competition as well as possible, including the necessary PCR tests, FC Bayern will travel to Doha on Friday evening after the game in Berlin.

The move forward of the match serves to enable the corresponding departure on the evening of the game from an organizational point of view, it said in the DFL announcement.
