Kiel (AP) - The German handball record champion THW Kiel has signed Malte Voigt from TSV Altenholz until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old left winger, who helped out with the Kiel team in December and won the EHF Champions League, is immediately eligible to play in all competitions, the THW announced on Tuesday.

"In December, Malte fit in perfectly with the team within a few days," said THW managing director Viktor Szilagyi.

"In view of our program in the coming months, we decided to give him a contract until the end of the season," he said of the left winger's commitment.
