Dresden (dpa / sn) - The Saxon Greens advocate a clear approach to the corona pandemic.

"People who are tired of infection protection measures need a perspective," said state board spokeswoman Christin Furtenbacher on Tuesday in Dresden.

Instead of ever new deadlines based on the principle of hope, they want clear regulations that families, companies and clubs can adapt to in the long term.

“These regulations must be as comprehensible and transparent as possible and be based on the specific infection process.

Because the pandemic will be with us for months, if you look at the slow progress of the vaccinations, ”explained Furtenbacher.

They want to be optimally prepared for new situations in the pandemic and to be able to act ad hoc with prepared scenarios.

The state party council of the Greens decided on a catalog of measures.

So far, the pandemic discussion has always been about which direction the wheel is turned in: in the direction of easing or tightening infection control measures, it said.

After a year of pandemic experiences, one now has to widen one's view and talk more about how the everyday pandemic can be designed so that new infections remain at the lowest possible level.

In addition to structures for planning, the catalog of measures includes a test strategy for all areas of life, better support for people in social emergencies, catching up on learning material at schools and scenarios for the gradual opening of sports and training operations.

With a view to the finances of the Free State, a “dynamic debt brake” and the extension of loan repayments to 25 to 30 years are required.

So far it should only be eight years from 2023.

Saxony wants to take on up to six billion euros in debt to deal with the consequences of the pandemic.
