Los Angeles (AP) - The nominations for the 78th Golden Globe Awards will be announced in Hollywood on Wednesday (from 2 p.m. CET).
The awards from the small international press association (HFPA) in 25 film and television categories are considered the most important American film prizes after the Oscars.
The Globe Gala usually heralds the start of the trophy series in early January, which culminates with the Oscar show two months later.
But because of the corona pandemic, both award ceremonies were postponed.
The globe trophies in the form of a gold-colored globe will be awarded on February 28 in Beverly Hills, the Oscars not until the end of April.
At the 77th Globe Gala in January of last year, the war drama "1917" by director Sam Mendes was named best film drama.
In the comedy category, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” by director Quentin Tarantino won.
