Schwerin (dpa / mv) - Every household in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania should receive six FFP2 masks from the state.

The citizens should get them home, as Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) announced on Tuesday in Schwerin.

The distribution should therefore begin next Tuesday.

First of all, households in Western Pomerania-Greifswald should receive the masks because the corona infection numbers are particularly high there.

According to Schwesig, 5.2 million masks are distributed across the country.
