Hamburg (dpa / lno) - In Hamburg, according to initial findings, a man put a camping stove on a hotplate - and was seriously injured in an explosion.
The 39-year-old was in the hospital, said a police spokesman on Tuesday evening.
The residents of the five-story apartment building in Hamburg-Dulsberg had to leave their apartments in the meantime.
However, they were allowed to return after being checked by a structural engineer.
According to the spokesman, it was still completely unclear why the 39-year-old put the gas cartridge on the stove.
