Erfurt (dpa / th) - To inherit or receive something as a gift can be an expensive affair: According to the latest available figures, the Thuringians paid a total of 19.6 million euros in inheritance and gift tax in 2019, as the State Statistical Office said on Tuesday announced in Erfurt.
Taken together, there were around 1655 cases, with inheritance accounting for the vast majority of 1377 cases.
It was about an estate of almost 155 million euros.
In addition, the statisticians recorded 294 taxable gifts last year.
