Leipzig (dpa) - RB Leipzig has already found what it is looking for a possible replacement for central defender Dayot Upamecano.

As the broadcaster Sky reported on Monday, the Bundesliga club and the French club Racing Strasbourg agreed on a transfer of Mohamed Simakan in the summer.

Accordingly, the 20-year-old should sign his contract in the coming week.

The transfer fee should be 18 million euros.

Simakan could replace Upamecano, who can leave Leipzig after the season for a fixed transfer fee.

Bayern Munich's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge announced on Monday that this should be 42.5 million euros.

The German record champion is an applicant for the services of the French.

Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC should also be interested.
