Leipzig (AP) - The handball Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig loses two backcourt players in Maximilian Janke and national player Philipp Weber.
Janke is leaving the club immediately, the club announced on Monday.
According to a report in the "Leipziger Volkszeitung", the 27-year-old is moving to Bundesliga competitor Minden.
Weber will not extend his contract, which expires in the summer.
The 28-year-old changes to rival SC Magdeburg after a report by "Bild".
Both players were already active for Leipzig in the second division.
"Max was always a full-blooded professional, an absolute team player and an important calm in our team," said managing director Karsten Günther.
On the Weber case, Günther said: “We showed Philipp good prospects in Leipzig, both sportily and economically, and we made ourselves very strong in favor of him staying.
