Wiesbaden (dpa / lhe) - In Hesse, around 180,000 people have now received a first corona vaccination.
Around 50,000 citizens from this group had already been injected with the important second dose, said Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (CDU) on Monday evening after the federal and state vaccination summit.
Because there is still too little vaccine, he does not expect faster vaccinations against the coronavirus until the second quarter.
Hesse is sticking to its strategy of halving each delivery in order to guarantee the important second vaccination, stressed the head of government.
From this Wednesday, seniors over 80 years of age can again arrange a corona vaccination appointment.
So far, vaccinations have been carried out in the six regional vaccination centers in the country.
The remaining 22 vaccination centers in Hesse will open on February 9, so that all 28 vaccination centers in the state will then be activated.
