Munich (dpa / lby) - The authorities in Bavaria reported 1670 new corona infections to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) within one day.
According to the figures published on Sunday, nine districts and independent cities in the Free State were below the incidence value of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week, but six were still above 200. The Tirschenreuth district had the highest value with 317.9 - and the trend is rising.
The fewest newly infected people within a week based on the number of inhabitants were in Regensburg with an incidence of 31.4.
35 new deaths related to corona infection were recorded within 24 hours.
In Bavaria, 402 173 infections and 10 379 deaths have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.
The seven-day incidence for all of Bavaria was 90.3, according to the RKI.

On Sunday, the number of cases reported by the RKI is usually lower, partly because fewer tests are carried out on the weekend.
