Munich (dpa) - Bayern board member Oliver Kahn appealed to the football professionals after the tattoo misstep by world champion Corentin Tolisso in Corona times.

“Of course we have a great role model function,” said Kahn on Sunday at “Sky 90”.

He asked that after a fine for Tolisso by the club, the issue should be settled.

The 26-year-old soccer world champion Tolisso had a tattoo this week and thus violated Corona regulations.

"Of course you try to find understanding and find it very, very difficult," said Kahn.

Professional football can continue its operations in the pandemic thanks to a special hygiene concept.

Actions like that of Tolisso encounter a lack of understanding in society in lockdown times.

Kahn has been a member of the board of directors at Bayern Munich for over a year, and he is to take over as chairman after Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's term of office ends.
