Berlin (dpa / bb) - The corona infection numbers in Berlin have once again decreased slightly.

On Sunday, the seven-day incidence - the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants per week - was 83.8.

The previous day the value was 86.4.

The Berlin Corona traffic light is still red, as can be seen from the management report of the Senate Department for Health.

The target is less than 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days.

The lowest incidence was recorded in Steglitz-Zehlendorf with a value of 70.6, the highest in Mitte (104.5).

The traffic light is also red for the occupancy rate in the intensive care beds. Here, at 28.1 percent, the rate is again just below the value of the previous day (28.7).

The traffic light is still green for the reproduction number (R value).

The 4-day R-value was 0.93 on Sunday - slightly higher than on Saturday (0.86).

It describes how many people an infected person infects on average.

According to experts, in order to slow the pandemic, this value has to be significantly less than 1.
