Münster (AP) - A week after the 3-2 win against SC Potsdam, VfB Suhl suffered a painful and unexpected defeat in the women's volleyball division.

The team of coach Laszlo Hollosy lost in a weak game on Saturday evening with 0: 3 (20:25, 19:25, 22:25) at USC Münster.

The match in the hall at Berg Fidel was over after just 79 minutes.

The up to then fourth placed VfB slipped through this defeat to fifth place in the table.

The tricky and variable attacking game, which had so distinguished VfB against Potsdam, hardly came into play this time.

USC coach Ralph Bergmann, a former national player, had warned of the right attitude against the team from Thuringia before the game.

His words were obviously on fertile ground, because the hosts, who placed tenth before the game, seized their chance to trip the favorite from the start.

The sticking point from Suhl's point of view turned out to be the pass, which the outside attackers and middle blockers could not use as safely as usual.

The USC Münster took advantage of this weakness and moved up one place in the table.

VfB Suhl will have to compete at Dresdner SC next Tuesday.
