Erfurt (dpa) - Thuringia's Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left) has pleaded for a longer-term corona policy at the federal-state vaccination summit.

"My perspective is not a loosening debate, but a timetable that gives us a perspective over months," said Ramelow to the editorial network Germany (RND / Saturday).

"This includes a catalog of criteria, what happens at certain incidences, and medical care capacities."

From Ramelow's point of view, the timetable should apply until Easter if possible.

«We are on the verge of being overwhelmed.

We have to build up reserves, ”he emphasized.

"The debate about lockdown and easing doesn't get us anywhere."

With short interruptions, Thuringia has been the most severely affected state by the pandemic for weeks.

Recently, however, the number of new infections has decreased.

The current lockdown is valid until February 14th.

However, there have long been debates about an extension, especially against the background of rampant corona mutations.

There are also individual cases in Thuringia.
