Northeim (dpa / lni) - A 46-year-old woman crashed her car into a tree in Northeim, and her passenger died.
The driver was on the federal highway 3 on Friday afternoon when she strayed from the street for an unexplained cause, the police said.
The 46-year-old was slightly injured and the 19-year-old passenger was seriously injured in a hospital.
The young woman died a short time later.
During the rescue and clean-up work, the B3 was closed on both sides for several hours.
The police investigation continues.
