Monaco basketball players have signed a seventh success in eight games of the French Championship and remain at the top of the standings, while Boulogne-Levallois recorded a third defeat this season, going to lose to Roanne on Saturday night.

The French Men's Basketball Championship has been slowing down completely since the end of October due to the health crisis and the closed door imposed on clubs to try to contain the spread of Covid-19.

In three months (November, December and January), there were only 38 Elite matches played, while over this period more than a hundred matches were scheduled.

Until mid-February, a few late matches will be played, two by clubs including one at home, in order to advance in the calendar, which promises to be very difficult to keep by June 15, deadline to finish the championship.

In this very slow rhythm, Monaco continues its journey, with a victory in its room of Gaston-Médecin against Le Portel (82-60).

Team Rocca was carried by Rob Gray (18 points) and Dee Bost (16 pts).

The Monegasques will travel to the Meilleraie de Cholet next Saturday for their ninth match of the season, and try to stay on this series, Monaco's only defeat in the Championship dating back to the first day against Boulogne-Levallois (72-62 on September 23 ).

The Parisians conceded their third defeat (for eight victories) in the Elite Championship, traveling to Roanne 78 to 67, and let Monaco escape at the top of the standings.

Bourg-en-Bresse won at home against Orléans 88 to 82, and took the opportunity to climb to third place in the championship (seven wins in nine matches), ahead of the Metropolitans92 and behind Dijon (eight wins, two losses) .
