Two people were killed this Saturday morning by a car that took the Lyon ring road in the wrong direction, said the Rhône prefecture.

Four other people were slightly injured, the prefecture said on its Twitter account.

A collision with two other vehicles

The vehicle took the southern ring road, near the Porte de Gerland, early in the morning, the same source said, before colliding with two other vehicles.

The two deceased persons are the occupants of the automobile traveling in the opposite direction.

The traffic was able to make it at 10:30 am in both directions of traffic, added the prefecture.
