Hanover (dpa / lni) - According to the state's own NBank, most of the applications for the "November aid" for companies in need in the corona crisis have now been processed in Lower Saxony.

If you include the deductions already made to waiting companies, the disbursements paid amounted to almost 230 million euros, the bank announced on Friday as an interim result.

In the past two weeks, around 15,000 out of 20,000 applications have been approved.

With the “November aid”, companies are to be compensated by the state for lost sales if they had to close due to pandemic protection measures.

The funds should actually have been flowing for a long time, and a similar program followed for those affected by the December lockdown.

But at first only little money could be called up.

As in the summer, many applicants complained about lengthy bureaucratic procedures.

For urgent cases, installments were sent in advance - at the beginning of January, the federal and state governments agreed to handle examinations and the payment of outstanding sums via the state institutes.

After frequent cases of fraud in the spring, the development banks often have to take a closer look to see whether all the auxiliary criteria have been met.

According to NBank, the total funding volume applied for in Lower Saxony is currently around 400 million euros.

All applications that are now available should be processed by mid-February; more can be submitted by the end of April.

In the case of the «December aid», which have also often not yet arrived, the processing of the processing to the NBank is in progress, it said.

Here too, the aim is to obtain “timely” permits.
