The 50th Luge World Championship begins with three decisions in the sprint, which due to the corona pandemic will not be held in Whistler, Canada, but in Schönau am Königssee.
The home advantage could bring a flood of medals to the German athletes, who won only two of seven titles a year ago in Sochi.
