"The year 2020 is of great significance to me. Shanxi will build a bridge for the innovation and entrepreneurship of young people on both sides of the strait. Taking this opportunity, I will return to this long-worn land and be a ferryman for young people on both sides of the strait. I am very happy. I hope 2021 , Can introduce more outstanding Taiwanese enterprises and talents to Shanxi." Zhang Jiayu, 61, told reporters his New Year's wishes on the 28th.

Due to the prevention and control measures of the new crown epidemic on both sides of the strait, a large number of Taiwan compatriots decided to stay on the mainland for the Spring Festival this year. Zhang Jiayu is one of them.

He frankly said that this is the first time to celebrate the Spring Festival in the mainland, and he is looking forward to it.

At that time, he will have a New Year's Eve dinner with his relatives in Shanxi.

"I like Shanxi noodles the most, and I must not miss it for the New Year's Eve dinner."

When it comes to reunion with relatives in mainland China, Zhang Jiayu always remembers the scene of returning to Shanxi for the first time 30 years ago.

"When I drove on a rural road, it was like entering a time tunnel. Although everything here is unfamiliar, but so familiar, I feel like I have been living here."

In 2000, Zhang Jiayu, who worked in Taiwan, took the initiative to ask Ying to "land" because the company wanted to open up the mainland market.

After nearly 20 years, Zhang Jiayu worked in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen, Ningxia and other places.

He had been in the electronics industry before, and he came to Shanxi in 2020 and decided to start again.

"Fast development, many opportunities, and prospects" is Zhang Jiayu's evaluation of Shanxi.

A few days ago, Shanxi established the first cross-strait youth innovation and entrepreneurship base. He is the general manager of the base and is responsible for connecting Taiwan’s youth and enterprises.

"The base has established a comprehensive cooperation investment and entrepreneurial development exchange platform between Taiwan and Shanxi, achieving complementary advantages and opening up a warm communication channel."

On the same day, Zhang Jiayu pointed to the corner of the base and talked about the development plan, “This is the rest area for employees. After the Spring Festival, when the employees are in place, they will put Taiwanese milk tea and Shanxi medicinal tea here, as well as various snacks from the two places. You can communicate while enjoying the food."

Zhang Jiayu said that in recent years, cross-strait economic and trade, cultural, and personnel exchanges have become more and more profound, and there are more opportunities in the mainland, which are all opportunities for Taiwanese youth.

I will be a "ferryman" for Taiwan's entrepreneurial young people and help them "landing".

At the same time, the introduction of Taiwanese capital from Shanxi to help local transformation and development.

Talking about expectations for the future, Zhang Jiayu said frankly that he and his wife will settle in Taiyuan, Shanxi.

His wife is a native of Hanzhong, Shaanxi. She works in local nursing. After retiring at the end of January, she came to Taiyuan to reunite with herself.

"This year I will stay in the mainland with peace of mind for the New Year. When the epidemic improves, I will return to Taiwan to visit relatives and friends. In the new year, the health of family members on both sides of the strait is the most important." (End)
