Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - A man was injured in a fire in a high-rise building in Magdeburg.
In the night of Friday, furniture caught fire on the balcony of an apartment on the tenth floor of the apartment building, the police said.
The 68-year-old renter was taken to hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation.
According to the fire department on Friday morning, eight other people were brought to safety from the surrounding apartments, but were uninjured.
The police are now investigating suspected negligent arson.
The apartment is currently uninhabitable.
