Delmenhorst (dpa / lni) - The police in Delmenhorst was a 16-year-old driver who was also under drugs.

The officers had found at a traffic control that the driver was only 16 - and therefore did not have a driver's license, the police said on Friday.

A rapid drug test at the control on Thursday revealed that the young person was under the influence of marijuana.

A doctor therefore took blood from him.

When checking the car, the officers also noticed that the license plates were from a different car.

This meant that there was no insurance coverage for the 16-year-old's car, the car should not have been driven in public traffic, as the police announced.

The officers secured the car keys and initiated several investigative and administrative offense proceedings against the 16-year-old.
