Young Olympique de Marseille striker Marley Aké signed on Thursday for Juventus Turin, while young Italian midfielder Franco Tongya did the opposite, the two clubs announced.

Aké, who just turned 20, has signed a five-season contract with Juventus.

This transfer brings in eight million euros to OM.

The transfer from Tongya is done for the same amount.

This double operation on players trained at OM and Juve allows the two clubs to each achieve a substantial added value, important in a period of economic difficulties.

"This exchange with Juventus, these are operations which are more modern and more frequent at the moment in the transfer window," OM sports director Pablo Longoria explained on Tuesday.

Integrated into OM's professional squad last season, Aké took part in 26 matches in the Provencal club's jersey, without ever scoring.

His transfer was announced on the Twitter account of the youth teams of Juventus, and he should initially play with the B team of the Piedmont club, which plays in Serie C (3rd division).

Tongya, for his part, is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who joined Juve's youth teams from childhood.

He has never played for the first team but has appeared in ten Serie C matches this season.

In its press release, OM specifies that the young Italian comes "to strengthen the ranks of the National 2 team".

The National 2 is the 4th French division.
