Phase one is the one that is currently underway, where caregivers and staff in nursing homes, including hospital staff who care for covid patients, receive a vaccine against covid-19.

The plan is to move to phase two in both the Kronoberg Region and the Kalmar County Region in February.

That is, to vaccinate everyone over the age of 70.

Patients at risk

In phase three, risk groups aged 18-69 are waiting.

But what these are and how they should be prioritized is still unclear.

- The Swedish Public Health Agency is looking at who should be included in phase three.

The whole of Sweden is waiting to find out which patients it is, says Lena Andersson Nazzal.

According to her, there is also no date for when this may be presented.

- We plan in Region Kronoberg to give vaccines at the hospitals in Ljungby and Växjö for this group.

But we need to make it clear who will be included in phase three.
