New York (dpa) - The shares of the US-SAP subsidiary Qualtrics celebrated a brilliant debut on Thursday.

The initial price was $ 41.85, almost 40 percent above the issue price of $ 30.00 per share.

The paper has remained above $ 41 in trading so far and was most recently quoted at $ 42.60.

The daily high was $ 44.50.

The issue price had previously been raised several times to 27 to 29 dollars.

At its core, Qualtrics specializes in business customers who want to measure the success of their websites and their online marketing.

The company is currently around 21 billion dollars (17.3 billion euros).

For comparison: SAP bought the company for $ 8 billion just two years ago.
