China News Service, January 29, reported that the Defense Management Center of the Ministry of Defense of Russia stated that the USS Porter, equipped with cruise missiles, entered the Black Sea on the 28th and the Russian Black Sea Fleet monitored it.

This is the second US destroyer to enter the waters in a week.

  According to the news released by the center, "The Black Sea Fleet has begun tracking the USS Porter destroyer equipped with cruise missiles that entered the Black Sea at 17:00 on January 28, 2021."

  Earlier, the Russian Defense Management Center stated that on January 23, the US destroyer "Donald Cook" entered the Black Sea, and the Russian Black Sea Fleet will pay close attention to its movements.

  Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov has previously stated that Russia is concerned about the increase in the frequency of US reconnaissance activities in the Black Sea.

  Ryabkov said: "Moscow is very worried about the increase in the frequency of US reconnaissance activities in the Black Sea and surrounding areas. This is creating a potentially dangerous situation."
