In response to the spread of the new coronavirus infection in Japan, the EU-European Union has announced that it will ban travel from Japan to the region again in principle.

The EU has restricted travel from outside the region since the spread of the new coronavirus infection last year, but in some countries such as Japan, South Korea and Australia, the infection situation has calmed down in July last year. It was possible to travel by excluding it from the target.

However, the countries excluded from travel restrictions are being reviewed regularly, and on the 28th, the EU traveled to the EU except when it is indispensable due to the spread of infection in Japan. Announced that it will be banned again in principle.

Whether or not to actually restrict travel is left to each country with border control authority, but due to the spread of mutated virus infection in the EU, each country will tighten restrictions on movement inside and outside the region. In agreement, this decision could severely limit travel from Japan.

With Japan again subject to restrictions, six countries are allowed to travel to the EU: South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Rwanda.
