Berlin (AP) - The German national handball players Paul Drux and Marian Michalczik are about to start team training at Füchsen Berlin after returning from the World Cup in Egypt.

After arriving in Berlin, the two backcourt players first undergo daily corona tests before the first team training for the two of them is scheduled for the weekend, as the Bundesliga team announced on Thursday.

In contrast, three other club colleagues are fighting for the World Cup crown in Cairo.

Lasse Andersson and Jacob Holm will face defending champions Denmark in the semi-finals on Friday (5.30 p.m.) against Spain.

Three hours later, Valter Chrintz wants to reach the final with Sweden against France.

The 20-year-old right winger was the team's most successful thrower with eight goals in the 35:23 victory over Qatar.

The World Cup final will take place on Sunday.

One day later, the foxes compete in the EHF European League at Sporting Lisbon.

In total, the Berliners have to play at least seven games internationally and in the Bundesliga in February, at least three of them in the last week of the month alone.
