Appenweier (dpa / lsw) - Two young people pretended to be train attendants on a train journey between Appenweier and Offenburg (Ortenaukreis) and tried to steal money.
According to police on Wednesday, the 14 and 15-year-old teenagers spoke to several travelers the day before and checked tickets.
They demanded the immediate payment of the fare if travelers do not show a ticket.
They were unsuccessful with their scam.
A passenger called the police.
Officials received the young people at the Offenburg train station.
