Werneuchen (dpa / bb) - A 23-year-old motorist fleeing at excessive speed was stopped by the police in Werneuchen (Barnim district).
The Berliner wanted to evade a police check near the Werneuchen airfield on Tuesday night, the Police Department East announced on Wednesday.
He tried to shake off the radio car.
He was then caught in a parking bay in the old town.
Citizens had previously given information about illegal car races.
The 23-year-old is known to the police and does not have a driving license.
He was also under the influence of narcotics.
Firecrackers of Eastern European production and counterfeit money were discovered with him.
The car was secured and a preliminary investigation was initiated.
