Thanks to its innovative data protection regime, they underline, "the EU is in a position that allows it to promote secure and reliable data flows on a global scale. To this end, the Commission will strengthen cooperation with partners who share its own values ​​bilaterally and multilaterally, exploiting the growing trend towards higher levels of privacy standards.

"Collaborating with our counterparts in the new US administration is a priority to ensure the protection of personal data transferred overseas in full compliance with the Court's decision. Jourova and Reynders also stressed: "We are working with European data protection authorities to ensure strict enforcement of our rules.
