Kiel (dpa / lno) - Schleswig-Holstein is reacting to the stresses caused by the corona pandemic with flexible examination regulations at schools.

"The qualifications obtained this year will be equivalent to those of earlier and later years and will be mutually recognized by the federal states," said Education Minister Karin Prien (CDU) on Wednesday in the state parliament.

The students are well prepared for the graduation through their previous schooling and can confidently go into the exams.

Prien announced that the number of written exams will be reduced for the degrees after the 9th and 10th grade.

The processing time will be extended and a further oral examination will be made possible if requested.

The high school graduates will also be given a specific preparation time for the exams, said Prien.

"We are also providing for a greater choice of tasks and an extension of the time during the exams."
